It seems like they only use Dell computers.Does anyone know why this is?Why not use hp? Feel free to throw in your opinions.
Why do most schools and libraries use Dells
1 There cheap
2 they can all be easily connected to a server which they are
They do not have big hard drives in because all of the students info is kept on 8 servers for a typical 1000 student school
I think they get a disscount as well if they go with dell because there a school
And dell gets money from the government for giving cheap computers to schools
I looked at my old schools system and how it worked and thats why its normaly Dell

They are cheap, easy to maintain, and as the other user said good RMA policy. Especially most schools in the board that I am in Toronto District School Board, use a lot of the Dell GX series.

Dells are cheaper than the average pc (depending on the spec), but i find most schools and libraries use fujitsu systems pcs, because they are even cheaper if bought in bulk, and will hardly ever go wrong since they are so simple

They're cheap, standardized, and have a decent RMA policy.
HP is server division is great, but their PC division is just crap (a while ago they bought Compaq, which basically became their PC division, although that is slowly changing right now).
